There’s more drama from the cable network MSNBC. British journalist and political commentator Martin Bashir has resigned after coming under fire for controversial comments he made about politician Sarah Palin.

The daytime host suggested that Palin experience slave-like conditions after she suggested that American foreign policy decisions would eventually lead to debt-like “slavery.”

Due to the content of Bashir’s comment, Here & Now is not printing it, but you can see a video here.

Earlier this month, Alec Baldwin’s late-night MSNBC talk show “Up Late” was ultimately cancelled after the actor was caught on camera hurling a homophobic slur at a photographer.

NPR media correspondent David Folkenflik joins Here & Now’s Robin Young to discuss the developments.
