Students are back in school in Moore, Oklahoma, nearly three months after a deadly tornado tore through town.

The storm killed a total of 25 people, including seven third-graders who had hunkered down at the Plaza Towers Elementary School with their teachers.

With the new school year starting, Robert Romines, the superintendent of public schools in Moore, Oklahoma, said today was “the start of a new normal,” for students and teachers.

“The new normal is about turning corners with the understanding that we will never forget,” Romines said.
