Early Voting Chaos In Florida

Voters are casting absentee ballots in person in Florida today, but there was chaos at the election headquarters in Miama-Dade on Sunday.

Election officials were overwhelmed with the number of people who wanted to cast their ballots before tomorrow’s elections. The officials decided to shut down the main office, but doors were reopened after voters protested and demanded to exercise their right to vote.

Are we seeing a repeat of the problems that pushed the results of the 2000 presidential election in Florida all the way to the Supreme Court?

Miami Herald reporter Marc Caputo says so many people have already voted in Florida that polling places may be deserted on election day.
