Jason Russell, the creator that that viral hit film, Kony 2012, was taken into custody this weekend after he was found naked and pounding the sidewalk outside his home in San Diego.

More than 80 million people have watched the 30-minute film on YouTube. Kony is Joseph Kony, whose Lord’s Resistance Army in Uganda has abducted tens of thousands of children and forced them in to his army.

Russell says his goal is to bring down Kony and free the children; Russell has also formed a charity, Invisible Children, which has raised millions of dollars — much of it from Christian organizations.
