Occupy Protesters Take Stock After Day Of Mass Arrests

Occupy Wall Street is reminding members that Friday is the last day to retrieve any belongings they lost during the police raid that cleared out their tents earlier this week from Zuccotti Park, the group’s original site.

On Thursday, thousands of protesters crowded intersections near the New York Stock Exchange, briefly blocking Fifth Avenue and gathering at the Brooklyn Bridge on the two month anniversary of Occupy Wall Street.

While New York had the largest numbers and most widespread gatherings, there were demonstrations and arrests around the country–from the financial district of Los Angeles, to the state capitol building in Atlanta, along Interstate 84 in Connecticut, on the banks of the Potomac River in Washington DC, to demonstrations outside of bank headquarters in Portland and San Francisco.
