Guitarist Pat Metheny has won multiple Grammy awards for his original music. But on his latest CD, “What’s It All About,” Metheny explores songs made famous by the Beatles, Carly Simon, Simon & Garfunkel and others.

He told Here & Now‘s Robin Young that these are songs that especially spoke to him, and to play them, he used a special tuning that was shown to him by Ray Harris who, like Metheny, hails from Missouri.
