Rain is already lashing North and South Carolina. Landfall is expected in the Outer Banks Saturday and again on Sunday in New York and New England.

The city might even shut down its subway system tomorrow morning. Manhattan has seen only a few really big hurricanes in 1821 a hurricane raised tides 13 feet in one hour and flooded the Southern tip of the island.

Guest:

  • Arthur DeGaetano, Cornell University professor and director of the Northeast Regional Climate Center for the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration.
