Until recently, Libya was a haven for people fleeing violence in their home countries, with over 10,000 refugees from places like Darfur, Somalia and Iraq.
They now face violence in Libya because they look like the mercenary troops Gadhafi has hired to fight for his regime. But unlike migrant workers, they cannot return to their homes because of violence there. We speak about the plight of the refugees in Libya with Sasha Chanoff, founder and executive director of the humanitarian agency, Mapendo International.
