‘Marathonman’ Runs 365 Marathons In 365 Days

Belgian athlete Stefaan Engels finishes his 365th marathon in Barcelona, Spain, Saturday, Feb. 5, 2011. (AP)

On February 5, Belgian runner Stefaan Engels completed an amazing feat: He finished his 365th marathon in 365 days. That’s a total of 9,569 miles in one year.

Engels joins us from his home in Gent, Belgium to explain how he ran so many marathons and why.
