Clashes Between Police And Protesters Pull Egypt Into Chaos

Anti-government protests in Egypt escalated today with police firing rubber bullets at the thousands of protesters and using tear gas and water cannons to disperse demonstrators after Friday prayers.

This is the biggest challenge to President Hosni Mubarak’s 30 year-rule. Police also used water cannons against Egypt’s pro-democracy leader Mohamed ElBaradei.
