Nuclear Standoff Between U.S. And Libya Revealed

At this time last year, there was a nuclear standoff between the U.S. and Libya, when officials from both countries were quarreling over what to do with 5.2 kilograms of uranium, sitting lightly guarded outside a nuclear facility near Tripoli.

The month-long diplomatic crisis was revealed publicly for the first time by Atlantic staff writer Max Fisher, who broke the story.
